If you can’t see the difference between Albert and Wedgwood, that’s not my problem.
This has totally happened to me and I can’t figure out why! Even when I’ve looked at the yarn by the window for more natural lighting. Argh!
First, people say how so many actresses in Hollywood look anorexic, and now they are criticizing me for looking normal.
Oh Jennifer Lawrence, how I love thee…let me count the ways.
Messages from Women in the World
With the powerful, personal testimonies of women at the summit, Secretary Clinton summed it all up well by saying, “Improving women’s lives is not a panacea, but it’s hard to imagine progress without giving all women and men the chance to achieve their dreams. Now we must focus on the unfinished business of girls and women’s empowerment.”
Nov. 5, 1922: Lulu McGrath is greeted by a diver in “Wonders of the Sea,” filmed off the Bahamas during the early days of underwater motion pictures. A report the following spring on a project by J.E. Williamson, the film’s director, related the perils of camera work at the time: “Not so very long ago, an intrepid photographer, when attempting to get a picture from an airplane of the crater of Vesuvius, just saved himself from falling into the seething, angry lava. This same cameraman, who is employed by Fox News, had another narrow escape from death in an airplane a few weeks ago. But he is inoculated with the spirit of adventure and keeps going.” Photo: The New York Times
Obama for America came up with a really cool way to show why we think President Obama deserves four more years in office.
It’s called the For All Campaign, and our team at NARAL Pro-Choice America got our hands (literally!) in the mix.
And then I debated whether or not to put it on Tumblr…but I decided it was important. Because in my own way, I can (unfortunately) point out exactly what is wrong with men when they don’t realize how hard it is to be a woman. How we do not have equal opportunities and freedoms in everyday life….
Wow. Nobody should ever have to feel like this. And I feel so fortunate I’ve never had to deal with this kind of situation myself. I’ve been commuting on the DC metro for years. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had random guys hit on me during the ride home, and they’ve always taken the hint within a few minutes.
